The Florida Department of Education has released its official school grades for the year, and Babcock Schools earned 64 points, matching last year’s total.
Under Florida’s school grading system, Babcock Schools received an official grade of “B” this year. According to the school’s administration, although the school earned the same number of points as last year, it did not meet the threshold required to retain an “A” rating.
In a letter to families, Mrs. Shannon Treece, Executive Director of Babcock Schools, wrote:
“Our identity has never been rooted in a single letter grade. It is rooted in preparing students for Employment, Enlistment, or Enrollment by teaching durable skills like communication, collaboration, and critical thinking.”
